Established in 1961 as Derek Hooper and Associates, Acumen Design is now a second-generation company, with Tim Hooper being the Principal and Managing Director.

We are selective about the clients we work with and the projects we work on, concentrating on a small number of projects at any one time. The means that we can give personal attention to each project which is apparent in the quality of our work.

Our core team has in-depth experience in all aspects of the conceptualisation, design, creative development, management, construction and installation of interpretive experiences and environments throughout Australia and internationally.

As a creative hub, Acumen draws together teams of specialists as and when needed. These are the best people in the business – graphic designers, audio visual producers, writers, lighting designers, special effects specialists, fabricators, construction crews, etc. These teams are dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our clients.
